Diagnosis
During
the initial consultation a thorough
musculo-skeletal assessment will be performed to
determine the nature and severity of your
injury/condition.

Pre and post
sport massage
Massage
before and after a sporting event can both
improve performance and aid recovery afterwards.
Pre sport massage helps to stimulate blood flow
and warm up muscles in preparation for activity.
The better prepared you are for activity, the
better you will perform.
Post sport
massage helps to soothe sore and aching muscles
and promotes a faster recovery. It does this by
encouraging lymphatic drainage and removing
waste products from the affected area. Removing
lactic acid and other waste products using
massage, encourages oxygenated, nutrient rich
blood to flow back into the area.

Treatment
Injuries
are treated through the application of Sports
Massage. A combination of Deep Tissue Massage
andMET’s (Muscle Energy Techniques) are
used to speed up the healing of injuries and
prevent any subsequent loss of
function.
Deep tissue massage works
by manipulating the lymphatic system, the
circulatory system and the muscles themselves.
Much of the pain experienced after an injury is
caused by the surrounding muscles going into
spasm in an attempt to protect the injury.
Massage helps to relax these “hypertonic
“muscles and provide welcome pain relief.

Rehabilitation
Recovering
from any injury, depending upon its severity,
can sometimes be a long and painful process.
However rehabilitation is vital for a fast and
full recovery.
An injury that has not
been fully rehabilitated is far more likely to
reoccur and once healing has completed there is
more chance that the affected area will not
function well as it did prior to the
injury. An individually tailored programme
of rehabilitation exercises will be designed to
get you functioning fully again in the fastest
time possible.
In addition to
rehabilitation of the injury itself, factors
such as muscle weaknesses and imbalances, which
may have led to the injury, will also be
addressed.
